PROJECT 3: A[LIVE]
CAPSULE
In doing this project, I was required to designed a café using two shipping crate containers in different size with one is 6000mm in length and the other is 12000mm in length. Based on the layering design of the layer tea and kuih talam, I want to show a layer design by showing multi-level of floors instead of making it horizontal build.
The ground floor is where the restroom is located at and also the only floor where doors are founded while the rest of the floor are open. To access the rest of the floor, guest have to use stairs outside near the restroom where will have to go through the window display. As they enter the window display, you will able to observe the display design and the main food and drinks up close. On the same floor which is the first floor is where the kitchen and dining area.
The second-floor dining area and the activity area. This will be same for third floor and the fourth floor where each floor has a dining table and bookshelf for the guest to read. I decided that I want the place to be open as possible because I got the idea from the warehouse that I stayed at Sekeping Serendah where the warehouse is really open and surrounded by vegetation that helps to flow cool air inside without using air conditioner.
The calm, open and quiet environment makes it ideal for guest to have a peace of mind which is why books are provided for the guest to read as the main activities.
